Director – Administration / Community Relations

 Education – Minimum of Bachelor’s  Degree or related experience in management, preferable in family services or non-profits.

At least two years supervisory and staff development experience.

Position Competencies – Extensive knowledge of computer functions and software programs.  Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access, WordPerfect, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project Management and Google Doc.

Maintains the highest of confidentiality regarding the organizations goals, objectives, contracts, partnerships, programs, marketing, fundraising and any other organizations intellectual assets.

General Position Description:

Assists with administration of organizations operations.

Assists with development, design, promotion, delivery, evaluation and quality of programs and services to meet the needs of the target community.

Oversees basic accounting functions necessary for auditing and budgeting.

Maintain data, official records and documents and ensures compliance of governing agencies, grantors, and Board of Directors requests.

Maintain Database input for monthly, quarterly and annual organizations reporting and accountability which includes; incoming item donation valuations, item distribution valuations, client visit documentation, diaper bank documentation, donor and contact databases.

Assists with client scheduling for family assistance, interaction with case managers, social service personnel, and all referring agencies.

Assist with FANS Locker Room / Diaper Bank family services.

Oversees volunteer development, activity, recruitment to meet the mission and vision of the organization.

Assists with Board of Directors Meetings preparing presentation materials.

Clearly and accurately represents FANS in the highest of professionalism.

Effectively work with co-workers, serving as an example of professionalism.

Fundraising and Donor Relations:

Assists with fundraising / event planning and implementation, researching funding resources, administrating fundraising records, recognition and documentation.

Oversees and assists to ensure successful fundraising events.

Assists with grants and contracts including submitting proposals and maintaining documentation to ensure fulfillment terms including receipt and expenditure of funds.

Engages donors in meaningful relationships and activities with the organization to ensure they are provided appropriate recognition and responsive communications.

 Public Relations:

Assures the organization and its mission, programs, and services are consistently presented in a strong, positive image.

Represents, professionally, the organizations point of view to agencies, organizations and the general public.

Assists with development of marketing materials, website / social media material content.

Community Partnerships and Collaborations:

Develops sound working relationships and cooperative arrangements with community groups and organizations. Attends Community Meetings on behalf of FANS.

Serves as a positive FANS role model among Case Managers, Referring Agencies, Families served, Volunteers, Community Partners, Donors, upholding FANS values, and guidelines / rules accordingly.

Promotes and assists FANS mission, serving as an ambassador to the organization.

Provides prompt, courteous and professional internal and external customer service skills, including responding to internal and external communications promptly and attentively.
